Enjoy a convenient outing on the peaceful, calm waters of the Huguenot Flatwater section of the James River in Richmond, VA. Bring a bathing suit because you may get wet while in the kayak!  Keep an eye out for gar, eagles, heron, turtles, and other wildlife as you embark on this circuit paddle. Check-in at the RO shop 15 minutes prior to your reservation time to sign a waiver (if needed) and get a trip briefing. You’ll then follow our equipment shuttle to the Huguenot Flatwater parking area (approx. 10 minute drive). We’ll help you get the gear in the water and then you are off on a super chill adventure. Paddle upstream toward the Willey Bridge, then turn around and work your way back to where you started…stopping at sandy-beached islands or enjoying a swim. We’ll pick the gear back up from you at the parking area two hours from when we dropped you off. Since your car is parked there already, hop back in and off you go to your next adventure! Minimum age is 5 years old with a guardian.
