Guided Kayak Trip - Upper River

This trip is ideal for folks wanting to combine the serenity of flat water paddling and the exhilaration of paddling through Class II whitewater. We’ll put-in around the Pony Pasture section of the James River Park System and paddle down through three to four sets of white water rapids…nothing too technical, just a lot of fun! There will be plenty of opportunities to swim and chill-out on some of the giant rocks in the river. We’ll also get to enjoy the beautiful scenery and wildlife of the river while learning a thing or two about the rich history of the area. We’ll take out at the Reedy Creek section of the park, by the park headquarters. Exact trip duration will depend on water level and speed of current…The standard trip will be 2-3 hours long with extended trips available for additional fee (can include lunch).
Must be a least 11 years old and know how to swim.
