It’s that time again! Sapling, O.A.K., and Old
Growth kamps were a smash hit in 2011 and
we can’t wait to see all the old and new faces in
2012. This year, Sapling will be a full day, full
summer program! Now all of our kamps will have
river play each day. Also, the Canopy Course at
the Meadows will be revamped with new elements
for O.A.K. and Old Growth kampers to explore!
Riverside Outfitters backpacks and binders will be
back again this season to help with your child’s
keepsakes and memories.
Our program is designed by Kamp Director and
International Society of Arboriculture Climber
Specialist Scott Ross (MA-5192T) with the help of
the expert arborists at True Timber Tree Service.
Our expert staff use tree climbing equipment
that is rated for at least 5,000 lbs. and our OSHA
approved climbing systems all have redundant
controls.

Dear Scott,
I have to tell you that my child, Ellie had the
time of her life at camp this past week. She
loved it last year as well and I had forgotten
how much she had enjoyed it. I was putting her
to bed last night and she could not stop talking
about wanting to go do another week and that
it is the best camp ever. Whatever you guys are
doing there you sure are doing it right. I wanted
to thank you and the other counselors for the
amazing job you have done. You obviously love
what you do and it shows.

I asked my son what he wanted me to tell you about camp...he said to tell you he wished he
could do it every week and he can’t wait to come
back! You guys are great!

It was my daughters favorite camp. Ever. She
especially loved the counselors and the James
River and the ropes course and the bus rides and
the office and the dogs and the backpacks and the
t-shirts. I’m just upset because you don’t offer a similar
camp to middle-aged men.
We look forward to seeing you again next
summer!
